Maksaimum Max Ala Qamat Al Jabal

“We do not inherit the earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children.” African proverb quoted by Saint-Exupéry in Wind, Sand and Stars. “No one knows this earth better than Max, the earth that is lent to us for a lifetime, having explored its every corner, from the North Pole to the South Pole, from its highest peak (Mount Everest, 8,850 m) to the immensity of its oceans (record for rowing across the Indian Ocean in 57 days). This book tells the story of how this passion for adventure, this desire to surpass oneself, and this boundless respect for the generous nature that surrounds us and that some of our irresponsible behaviors endanger was born.”
